1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike ad-supported or cloud-dependent streaming apps, IRL Studio operates strictly on-device:

• No User Accounts: We do not operate a user account system, registration database, or cloud profile service.
• No Third-Party Analytics or Trackers: The app does not embed advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics (like Firebase Analytics or Facebook Pixel), or user identification trackers.
• No Remote Video/Audio Storage: Your live camera footage and microphone audio are encoded in real time directly on your device hardware and dispatched directly to your configured stream ingest endpoint. They are never recorded, cached, or mirrored on any server operated by us.

2. Android Runtime Permissions & Why We Need Them

IRL Studio requests only the bare-minimum permissions strictly necessary to function as a live broadcasting studio under Google Play Policies:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used to capture live video from your front camera, back lenses (Ultra-Wide, Wide, Telephoto), and supported external USB UVC cameras for local viewfinder rendering and stream encoding. Video data is processed transiently in volatile device memory (RAM) and GL surfaces.
• Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Used to capture audio from the device microphones, Bluetooth headsets, or external USB audio interfaces during your live broadcast. Audio is encoded into AAC or Opus in real time and sent directly to your streaming server.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_CAMERA, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE): Required by Android 14+ to prevent the operating system from terminating your live broadcast when you turn off the screen (AMOLED Blackout Mode) or switch to a map/navigation app while walking. An active persistent notification is always displayed while streaming.
• Network Bonding & Internet (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE): Used to transmit live video over SRT, SRTLA, RTMP, or RIST protocols, and to bind multiple network interfaces (Wi-Fi + Cellular SIM) concurrently for network bonding and failover resilience.
• Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required on Android 13+ to display the ongoing stream status notification containing live bitrate, elapsed time, and the quick "Stop Stream" control button.

3. Third-Party Ingest Services (Twitch, YouTube, Kick)

When you broadcast with IRL Studio, your audio and video streams travel directly from your device to the server URL and stream key you specified (e.g., Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Restream, or personal OBS/SRT relays).

Your relationship with those streaming platforms is governed by their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies:

4. On-Device Data Storage & Deletion

All configuration settings (such as stream keys, custom server addresses, bitrate presets, and audio gain values) are saved locally on your Android device using Android's private SharedPreferences storage.

5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

IRL Studio is a general-audience technical broadcasting application. We do not intentionally target, collect, or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
